When you need to photograph what you inspect, a binocular head alone won’t do. The INSIZE ISM-ZS50 comes in binocular and trinocular versions — the trinocular adding a camera port to document everything you inspect in 3D.

Both configurations use the same 0.8X–5X zoom optical system and are designed for professional inspection and laboratory applications.

Professional Stereo Inspection

Unlike a conventional compound microscope, a stereo microscope provides a three-dimensional visual perspective of the workpiece.

This makes the ISM-ZS50 particularly useful for applications involving:

The relatively long 115mm working distance also provides room for manipulating components beneath the objective while viewing the workpiece.

Optical Performance

The ISM-ZS50 uses a 0.8X–5X zoom objective with a 1:6.3 zoom ratio.

The supplied 10X wide-field eyepieces provide a 22mm field of view, while the adjustable 55–75mm pupil distance and ±5 diopter adjustment allow the microscope to be configured for individual operators.

The zoom system allows the operator to move between lower magnification for locating and positioning a feature and higher magnification for detailed inspection.

Binocular vs. Trinocular Configuration

The ISM-ZS50 family is available in two optical-tube configurations.

ISM-ZS50 — Binocular

The binocular configuration is designed primarily for direct visual inspection through two eyepieces. It is an excellent choice for routine inspection, assembly, repair, and laboratory observation where camera output is not required.

ISM-ZS50T — Trinocular

The trinocular configuration adds a third optical port for camera integration. This makes the ISM-ZS50T the preferred configuration when inspection images, documentation, video, or digital microscopy are required.

INSIZE lists compatible digital camera options including the ISM-CM20, ISM-CM63, ISM-ZS70-S, and ISM-KM600, with the appropriate camera adapter.

Adjustable LED Illumination

The ISM-ZS50 incorporates both reflected and transmitted LED illumination.

Reflected Illumination

Reflected light illuminates the surface of the workpiece and is useful for examining:

• Machined surfaces

• Components

• Printed circuit boards

• Mechanical parts

• Surface defects

• Assembly details

Transmitted Illumination

Transmitted light illuminates the specimen from below and can be useful when examining transparent, translucent, or edge-defined specimens.

Both illumination systems are adjustable, allowing lighting conditions to be optimized for the specimen being inspected.

100mm Working Stage

The microscope includes a Ø100mm glass plate and a Ø100mm white/black plate as standard equipment.

The interchangeable plates provide different backgrounds and viewing conditions depending on the specimen and inspection application.

Available Accessories

INSIZE offers several accessories for expanding the capabilities of the ISM-ZS50 platform.

The 0.5X auxiliary objective must be used with the ISM-ZS200-ADAPTER.
