Chain-Type Design For Large Cylindrical Workpieces
The ISHB-C161 uses a 1.5 m chain to secure the tester around cylindrical or tubular workpieces measuring Ø150–Ø500 mm in diameter. This configuration allows Brinell hardness testing to be performed directly on large components without requiring the entire workpiece to be transported to a stationary hardness testing machine.
Brinell Hardness Testing
The ISHB-C161 applies a 3,000 kgf test force through a Ø10 mm carbide ball indenter. After creating the Brinell indentation, the included 20X measuring microscope is used to measure the indentation and determine the hardness value.
