INSIZE 1125-1000WL Digital Universal Caliper | 0–1000mm | Wireless
The INSIZE 1125-1000WL Digital Universal Caliper is a large-capacity, special-purpose digital caliper designed for dimensional inspection of large workpieces and components. With a 0–1000 mm (0–40") measuring range, 0.01 mm (0.0005") resolution, ±0.07 mm accuracy, and built-in wireless data output, it provides a flexible solution for large-part measurement and quality-control applications.
Unlike a conventional digital caliper, the INSIZE 1125 Universal Caliper is designed to work with specialized measuring points for different workpiece geometries. This makes it useful for inspecting large machined, fabricated, formed, and industrial components where a standard caliper may not provide sufficient capacity or measuring flexibility.

Large-Capacity Measurement
With a maximum measuring range of 1000 mm (40"), the 1125-1000WL is designed for dimensional inspection of large components that exceed the capacity of typical 150, 200, or 300 mm digital calipers.
The 0.01 mm resolution provides fine digital measurement increments while the manufacturer specifies ±0.07 mm accuracy for the 0–1000 mm model.
Typical applications include:
-
Large machined components
-
Fabricated assemblies
-
Welded structures
-
Sheet-metal components
-
Frames and brackets
-
Automotive components
-
Industrial equipment
-
Machine components
-

Universal Measuring-Point Design
The 1125 series is designed around interchangeable/specialized measuring points that allow the caliper to adapt to different measurement situations.
The supplied half-disk points can be used for specialized groove measurements. INSIZE documents the flat measuring face for external groove diameters and the spherical measuring face for internal groove diameters.
The manufacturer's operating instructions also document the use of spherical points for internal and external measurements. Optional point sleeves can be used with compatible INSIZE multifunctional, ball, and screw-thread measuring points for additional workpiece geometries.
This makes the 1125 more versatile than a conventional fixed-jaw digital caliper.
Built-In Wireless Data Output
The 1125-1000WL features built-in wireless data output, allowing measurement data to be transmitted without requiring the standard wired data-output connection.
Wireless data collection can help reduce manual transcription when measurements are being recorded as part of an inspection or quality-control process.
For applications where wireless transmission is not required, INSIZE also offers the 1125 series with a conventional data interface.
Digital Measurement Functions
The digital unit provides several functions intended for inspection and repetitive measurement:
-
ON/OFF
-
mm/inch conversion
-
ABS mode
-
Preset
-
Zero/reference setting
-
Automatic power-off
-
Motion-activated power
The preset function allows an initial reading to be established before taking a measurement.

Internal dimensions
-
Spherical surfaces
-
Grooves
-
Irregular features

Why Choose a Universal Caliper?
Large components often contain a mixture of flat, curved, grooved, and irregular surfaces. A conventional caliper may require additional accessories or different measuring tools to inspect these features.
The 1125 Universal Caliper is designed to provide a broader range of measurement possibilities through its specialized measuring-point system.
For production and inspection departments, this can reduce the need to switch between different instruments when working with large components that contain multiple feature types.
Measurement & Operating Considerations
The 1125-1000WL is a non-waterproof measuring instrument. INSIZE specifically cautions that coolant or liquid contamination can affect the digital reading and recommends cleaning the measuring instrument appropriately if contamination occurs.
For accurate measurements:
-
Keep the measuring points and workpiece clean.
-
Position the measuring points correctly against the feature being measured.
-
Apply consistent measuring pressure.
-
Verify the reference/zero position before inspection.
-
Avoid exposure to coolant and other liquids.
-
Use the appropriate measuring points for the workpiece geometry.
